4:20 pm [medie]	Joined by Medie Series Title: Joined Story Title(s): Joined Spoilers: it AUs from In The Line of Duty and then Divide & Conquer Keywords: het, alternate universe, character death Pairing: Daniel/Sam, mentions of Sam/Martouf, Jolinar/Lantesh Rating: what's been posted is pretty much PG-13 Summary: In a universe where Sam and Jolinar remained joined, Anise is the Tok'ra to be brainwashed in Divide & Conquer and kills Martouf in the attempt to kill Perseus and the President. Daniel offers himself up to host Lantesh... Author's notes: Basically, this is an AU where I got to play with the Tok'ra in a mainstream format. I never liked how In The Line of Duty went down and I *DEFINITELY* didn't like how things went with Martouf in Divide & Conquer. I didn't get to change that, unfortunately, but this AU gave me a chance to do something different with it. I haven't gotten to do anything with this in a long while and though I may go back to it in the future I can't say it will be anytime soon so, azarsuerte (who's been bugging me for more *G*) suggested I put it here. Written: February 06 The halls of the Cheyenne Mountain complex were so stark and utilitarian, molded and painted for function and nothing else. They ate individuality and spit back conformity. And yet, standing right here in front of her, with his soft voice and tender concern for her, for Cassandra, was Daniel Jackson. He defied everything the military had taught her, even while he stood there in his little soldier's uniform. ** I'm still not sure I'm satisfied with the ending, but I've now spent six hours writing and rewriting endings. Notes: I had intended to write a sequel to this but never got around to it so figured I would throw it out here. This part is GEN but my intention was to eventually have it be McKay/Sheppard. If someone does choose to write a sequel I would very much prefer that it be McKay/Sheppard or gen (I'd rather there was no pairing at all if you don't want to write McShep). The idea was of course for more angst but I had always intended a happy ending with Rodney back on the team where he belongs. It's Rodney's POV so it's skewed slightly. The idea was to write a sequel where Rodney learns he's stronger than he believed, where he learns that no one thinks he betrayed them. *g* OK I'm shutting up now ;) ( Broken ) (Comment on this)
10:21 am [sgatlantislight]	Up and Running and Stuff Okay, we've got a few members (19) showing up now. I expect with time, we'll get more. For now, welcome azarsuerte, burningchaos, shoemoney2night, dorcus, fairyglass, fancyfox, forcryinoutloud, innogen, jo_zed_pee_em, lonespark, missyvortexdv, murdocsangel, okelay, ozziebabe, sakuracorr, shiny_starlight, the_geeky_one, weasleysangel, and, of course, me-- sgatlantislight. We also have 9 folks just watching us, but not members, so welcome also to alison985, anascho, aquaangel, bakarti, jessifanfic, slm76, meredevachon, minaloush, and not_sally. One point, I'm not on a whole lot of SG-1 boards, so this group didn't get pimped on that side of the fandom very heavily. Those of you who are, feel free to pimp out this comm. If nothing else, posting sequels in other relevant comms with something like "A sequel to so-and-so's 'ficnamehere' written for sg_sequential" in the headers would be cool. At least I know I sometimes check out comms mentioned in fic that I like. We have one sequel being worked on. fairyglass is working on a sequel to azarsuerte's The Last Promise. On another note, currently we have no icons or other graphics associated with this comm. If anyone has ideas for graphics, especially ones that imply sequels, I'm open to suggestions. And, on a more personal note, I'm looking through what I've already written to see if I have things I wouldn't mind posting for sequelisation. 2:35 am [azarsuerte]	"The Last Promise" by Azar Series Title: The Last Promise Story Title(s): The Last Promise, The First Doubt Spoilers: none, unless anyone hasn't seen the first three episodes of SG-1 *grin* Keywords: het, alternate universe, character death Pairing: Daniel/Sha're, moving towards Daniel/Sam Rating: PG to PG-13, max Summary: A dying Sha're extracts one last promise from her Dani'el--to find and bring home Skaara. AU starting with "Children of the Gods." Author's notes: This is an AU exploring how the series might have gone differently if Sha're had died in "Children of the Gods." Not because I hate her or her relationship with Daniel, but because my Daniel/Sam 'shipper heart likes to believe the Jack/Sam thing wouldn't have happened if Daniel had been "available" right from the start. ;-) Unfortunately, the series has lagged somewhat and I doubt I'll ever finish it. Sequels should be AU versions of episodes, showing a very gradual blossoming of romance between Daniel and Sam--they shouldn't actually start seeing each other until sometime around "Pretense" or after, anything before that should be friendship with some building UST. Other than that, I'd like to explore the tension between Daniel and Teal'c and its slow shift to friendship--since Sha're wasn't able to tell Daniel to forgive him I imagine it took longer--and keep the pattern I've established with the titles (last, first, second, third, etc. in the title), but anything else is up for grabs. Hope that's not too specific. *blush* Of course, it may not matter since we might not have any other Daniel/Sam 'shippers on the community, but if so...can't wait to see what you come up with! :-) The Last Promise (Hope I did that right...if I forgot anything, let me know and I'll edit!)
